Premium High Speed HDMI® cables are tested to ensure quality for feature-rich 4K/Ultra-HD content
The Premium HDMI® Cable Certification ProgramTM encompasses additional and enhanced cable testing as well as an authentication and verification program for High Speed HDMI Cables.Cables are tested to ensure they support the full 18Gbps bandwidth with an EMI test to ensure cables minimize interference with wireless signals.
The program is designed to give end users confidence when purchasing new HDMI® cables for their 4K/UltraHD products that may include features such as 4K@60Hz, BT.2020 and HDR. Participating HDMI Adopters can promote their HDMI ATC-tested High Speed HDMI Cables as Premium High Speed HDMI Cables or Premium High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet using a unique anti-counterfeiting authentication label on their products.
These special cables are available with both HDMI Type-A and Type-D Connectors and the specification also supports HDMI Converter Cables including HDMI Active Optical Cables.
Trust the cable with the label
Certification assurance makes sure cables are authentic and certified throughout the supply chain. Only authorized HDMI adopters who participate in this special program can order labels via the HDMI Adopter secure extranet.
New HDMI Cable Certification Labels
The HDMI Cable Certification Program supporting Premium High Speed HDMI Cables is changing to a new generation (Gen 2) label. The original Gen 1 labels in the market will continue to be supported with the proprietary scanning app for the immediate future. Shopping for the HDMI Cables Just Got Easier
Shopping for HDMI® Cables can be confusing. Resellers may use a variety of marketing terms and may not use the official HDMI Cable name designations, and many websites may recommend cables only based on receiving affiliate payments. And worst of all – some cables are counterfeits.
The Verification Banners are an optional add-on to the existing HDMI Cable Certification Program. The website banners enable consumers to verify the certification status of cables while shopping on manufacturer and reseller websites. The Verification Banners can be either clicked or scanned, displaying the brand name, model number and length - the same as when scanning the physical Certification Labels affixed to the cable packaging.

Participants
Participants in the Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program are HDMI Adopters who have signed up and qualified for the program. These Participants may be represented as brand names in the marketplace or supply manufacturers who go to market with their own brand names. When labels are scanned the results will display the in-the-market brand name that should appear on the package
